Sustainable Santa Community Campaign for Amey

Christmas Community Campaign “Sustainable Santa”

Client: Amey

This was a community campaign developed and delivered for Amey, a leading UK public and regulated services provider, which ran from November 23rd 2014 until 5th January 2015.

Primary school children across five local authority areas were invited to donate their old toys to disadvantaged children in partnership with charities including Scottish Women’s Refuge and Airdrie Food Bank.

Outcomes

10 Amey-branded Santas took part in the annual Santa Dash & Reindeer Run on behalf of St Andrew’s Hospice. The event in Motherwell’s Strathclyde Park raised over £1,200.

Amey distributed 100 Santa sacks to 21 schools across these areas and asked children to donate old or unwanted toys to charity, which were then collected by an Amey-branded Santa.

Over 2.2 tonnes of toys were donated by primary school children.

Charities that benefited from the campaign included St. Andrew’s Hospice, Airdrie Food Bank, Scottish Women’s Refuge, Scottish Refugee Council and Good Green Fun.

The campaign received over £6000 worth of media coverage.
