Closure of the Fourth Road Bridge

Client: Amey

The unexpected full closure of the Forth Road Bridge in December 2015 was described in Parliament as: “an event of national significance.”

The closure created unprecedented logistical, engineering and communications challenges, with the repair project facing the scrutiny of a global audience, including media, politicians and the travelling public.

Pricoss provided support to the Amey communications team at the Forth Road Bridge during the period of the full bridge closure. This support included contributing to media relations activity, providing daily updates, dealing with stakeholders and assisting with press briefings.
